Definitely YES. Just some expamples: If you don’t listen properly to what a person is saying … you might not be able to help the person. If you are not able to read a person’s body language … you might not know how you come across. When dealing with foreign businesspeople you don’t know how to communicate with them …. you might have lost the deal before you even started. If you are rude to a client … your company might loose business because of you. But if you are a good listener, a friendly and well-mannered person, have a positive body language, you are aware of another person’s culture, you know that often it’s not what you say but how you say it, etc. then you have good chances that you build good and lasting relationships.
